I was hoping to use All's Fair in Love and Wardrobe as the key to integrating fashion into a General Theory of Art alongside literature, music and makeup, but Stephanie Simons' airy, amusing and pleasingly illustrated by Malia Carter book is more a cross between popbitch and Soviet-American podcasting than a study of how the music of the spheres applies to hemlines. Come to think of it, it reminds me of Toby Young's memoir. Still, Rule 50 at least might provide new seasons for haiku. And Rule 77 is straight from Sloterdijk. 

Just one question: Are there really such things as water bras?
